When you look back on highschool, one of the biggest memories you’ll want to remember is prom! Prom will be a night to remember and everyone wants that perfect night. Yet, prom can be stressful if you don’t prepare accordingly. As a  senior girl, you’ll want to plan for prom so you don’t run into any worries. Some things you don’t want to forget about when planning for prom:

The most basic things can sometimes be the most difficult. There can be confusion when it comes to the order of things so we’re here to clear it up a bit.

First things first, makeup.

Prom is the one day to go all out! Don’t hold back, go for that dramatic lip or full glitter eye! Choose a nice makeup color scheme that compliments your dress. If you have a red dress, a gold eyeshadow look is perfect. Going for a bold eye look, go for a neutral lip or maybe a soft eye and bold lip. Next thing to consider, hair.

Knowing what hairstyle you want before the big day is important. Look through a couple of pictures, magazines, or blogs for some prom hairstyles. Choose what you like best for your prom look. Book an appointment ahead of time before it’s too late! A good time for your hair is after your makeup and before your pictures. Talk to your stylist about the look you want, it’s helpful show your stylist a picture or two.

And to put the final look together, your prom wear.

Keep your dress somewhere clean and safe from any damage. Before you walk out the door you finally put on your prom dress you’ve been anticipating. Choosing the right jewelry and shoes are just as critical as the dress. There are so many options out there that no matter what, you will find something you like. Pick some glamorous earrings, a stunning necklace, a fabulous bracelet, the options are endless. Always have an emergency sewing kit handy for any dress mishaps! Fixing a bead or two is no issue when you are prepared.

Last but not least, pictures.

How else are you gonna remember how gorgeous you looked! Every city has its attractions, just takes a little searching. Look for a pretty outdoor setting with grass, water, or buildings. Schedule an exact time for pictures so you don’t run late. Whether you are getting your pictures taken professionally or with a phone, bring a photographer! That photographer can be your friend, worker, or mom. And don’t forget to hit that striking, runway pose.
